North Lanark Seniors’ Expo

Sep 10, 2015

The fifth North Lanark Seniors’ Expo on September 10th 2015 will offer a one-stop showcase of goods, services and supports available to North Lanark seniors and their families. Diverse presentations will be offered in the “Speaker’s Corner,” on topics such as recreation opportunities and the Alzheimer’s Society’s services. Also, all Federal Election candidates for our riding will be invited to join us to answer your questions. Stay tuned for a schedule of speakers and times to meet with individual candidates.

This expo is part of the lead organizer, The Mills Community Support’s commitment to building an age-friendly North Lanark.

New Hours this year: In an effort to better serve family members who work, our hours have changed to 1pm to 8 pm. Food is available for purchase. Our venue remains the same, the Almonte Community Centre at 182 Bridge Street in Almonte.

The Seniors’ Expo has again received financial support from the Older Adult Centres’ Association of Ontario (OACAO) to help bring this event to North Lanark. Their help means non-profit organizations serving seniors can receive a free booth to promote their services. The expo is now only a month away so booths are quickly being booked. Gold Sponsors are Bayshore Home Health, Carleton Place Terrace by Symphony, and The Hub and Rebound. If you offer goods, services, or supports to seniors contact Jan Watson at[email protected] or 613 256-1031 ext 39 to check on booth availability.
