The Canadian Cancer Society is a national, community based organization of volunteers whose mission is the eradication of Cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with Cancer.
Relay For Life is one way that a community can come together to raise awareness and money. During a Relay For Life, teams gather with cancer survivors at their local track, stadium or sports field and take turns walking laps all night. Each team keeps at least one member on the track at all times, while all around them the party is in full swing. Teams stay overnight in the decorated tent city, united to enjoy music, food, activities and entertainment and to celebrate life.
